Visual Arts Teacher Commendation Scheme
目的 Objectives
香港美術教育協會（HKSEA）一直致力促進視覺藝術教育和推動教師專業發展。推行「視覺藝術教師表揚計劃」是為了表揚本港具抱負並且工作表現優秀的視覺藝術科教師，並為同儕間提供交流的機會，鼓勵教師精益求精，提升其教學質素，長遠而言，提高視覺藝術科在學界中的地位。
計劃設立三類獎項，包括「高美慶教授視覺藝術教師發展獎」、「30年視覺藝術教育貢獻獎」及「藝術教育終身成就獎」。
HKSEA is dedicated to promoting visual arts education and teacher professional development in Hong Kong. The “Visual Arts Teachers Commendation Scheme” (VATCS) aims to recognise the outstanding performance and ambition of Hong Kong Visual Arts teachers. VATCS also aspires to encourage teachers to pursue excellence and keep improving their quality of teaching through sharing and exchange of ideas, thereby achieving the long-term goal of enhancing the status of visual arts education in academia.
There are three award categories, including the "Professor Mayching Kao Visual Arts Teacher Development Award", "Award for 30 Years of Visual Arts Education Contribution", and "Art Education Life Achievement Award".

"Professor Mayching Kao Visual Arts Teacher Development Award" 2026
目的 Objectives
「高美慶教授視覺藝術教師發展獎」由高美慶教授贊助，並由香港美術教育協會主辦。設立目的在於肯定優秀視覺藝術教師的成就，期望藉此鼓勵他們於繁重的工作下，持續創作及進修，提升個人藝術造詣，培養教師追求卓越的文化及提昇教師專業的藝術素養。
The "Visual Arts Teacher Development Award" is graciously supported by Professor Mayching Kao and meticulously organized by the Hong Kong Society For Education In Art. This distinguished accolade is designed to honor the exceptional achievements of outstanding visual arts educators. The award aims to motivate these educators to continue their creative pursuits and academic growth amidst their demanding schedules, enriching their artistic accomplishments, nurturing a culture of excellence among teachers, and advancing the professionalism of their artistic literacy.
獎項 Award
入圍名額最多為7名，每位入圍者可獲最高港幣20,000元資助，資助按實際開支實報實銷。入圍教師完成計劃並提交所有相關文件，經本會審核確認後，方正式成為得獎者，並獲頒嘉許狀乙張。 *獲資助者須與本會簽署承諾書，以確保履行計劃書內容。
A maximum of seven finalists will be selected. Each finalist may receive funding of up to HK$20,000, reimbursed on an actual-expense basis. Upon completion of the project and submission of all required documents, finalists will be formally recognized as awardees after verification and approval by the Association, and will receive a Certificate of Commendation. * Fund recipients are required to sign an undertaking agreement with the Association to ensure the fulfilment of the commitments and deliverables set out in their project proposals.
申請資格 Eligibility
申請人必須為：
香港永久性居民；
香港美術教育協會會員；
從未獲得「高美慶教授視覺藝術教師發展獎」之資助；
任教中學、小學或特殊學校之現職註冊視覺藝術科教師，或於幼稚園及幼兒園任教有關視覺藝術或美育相關內容的現職註冊教師；
在 2026/27 學年或之前，已任教視覺藝術或美育相關科目不少於 2 年。
Applicants must:
Be a permanent resident of Hong Kong;
Be a member of HKSEA;
Have never received funding from the "Professor Mayching Kao Visual Arts Teacher Development Award";
Be a visual arts teacher teaching in primary, secondary or special schools, or teachers who teach visual arts or aesthetic education-related content in kindergartens or kindergartens;
Have taught visual arts or aesthetic education-related subjects for no less than 2 years by the 2024/25 school year or earlier.

資助財政預算 Funding Budget
申請人須按指定方式遞交申請表格。經傳真、WhatsApp、電郵或其他方式遞交的申請，恕不受理。所有已遞交的文件概不退還。 Applications must be submitted through the designated online application system. Applications submitted by fax, WhatsApp, email, or any other means will not be accepted. All submitted documents are non-returnable.

計劃流程 Application Process
階段一 Phase One
階段一
計劃詳情：申請人先閱讀「計劃指引」；
遞交申請：申請人須於截止申請日期前提交填妥的「申請人資料及計劃書表格」；
審批申請：申請表格將交由獨立評審委員會進行評審；
公布入圍結果：本會將以電郵方式通知入圍結果。入圍教師須簽署承諾書，第一期資助將於簽署承諾書及開始執行計劃後發放。
Phase One
Programme details: Applicants should first read the Programme Guidelines.
Submission of application: Applicants must submit the completed Applicant Information and Programme Proposal Form by the application deadline.
Assessment of applications: Applications will be assessed by an independent judging panel.
Announcement of shortlisted applicants: The Society will notify applicants of the results by email. Shortlisted teachers must sign an undertaking. The first instalment of funding will be released after the undertaking has been signed and the programme has commenced.
階段二 Phase Two
階段二
進行計劃：入圍教師須按按照獲批計劃書推行其發展計劃；
完成計劃：入圍教師須提交成果報告及相關文件。本會完成審核後，將發放第二期資助；
正式獲獎： 完成發展計劃及完成審核後，將獲邀出席本會「香港視覺藝術教育節」頒獎禮，並獲頒嘉許狀乙張。
Phase Two
Implementation of the programme: Shortlisted teachers must carry out their professional development programmes in accordance with the approved programme proposals.
Completion of the programme: Shortlisted teachers must submit a final report and the relevant supporting documents. The second instalment of funding will be released after the Society has completed its review.
Formal recognition: After completing the professional development programme and passing the review, teachers will be invited to attend the Society’s "Hong Kong Visual Arts Education Festival" Award Ceremony and will receive a certificate of commendation.

評審準則包括申請人的資歷、計劃可行性，以及計劃對申請人個人與藝術教育發展的效益等。
